Another Glass Rod Case

My mom made this one for me because I like cats.

This is the inside. I like the paw print fabric.

This is the outside. Aren’t the kitties cute?

Glass Rod Holder Case

A gal on Lampwork Etc. posted instructions to make a glass rod holder case to use when traveling with glass rods. Thanks Sue!! I couldn’t pass up the chance to get my mom to make a few. Here’s the first one she made out of batik fabric.

Here’s the finished case all rolled up.

This is the inside. The bottom has little sections to stick the glass rods into and the top has a flap to pad the ends of the rods.

This is the outside. Isn’t is cool?

Ruffled Shrug

I finished knitting and crocheting this shrug. It was really easy except I kept running out of yarn. I had to order more yarn three times. I’m going to wear this at work when I go into freezing rooms. The shrug is fairly heavy so it should keep me nice and toasty.

These pictures aren’t the best as I couldn’t take them in an area where the background was the same.

Detail of bottom

This was made out of four different yarns. There are stripes of handpainted yarn and wool yarn run with eyelash yarn. The bottom has some rows of sari ribbon.

A Couple More Buttons

I only have a few button mandrels, that’s why I can only make a few each torching session. I normally don’t make that many two holed buttons so I’ve been able to live with just a few of these mandrels. Here’s a couple more.

Necktie Purses

My mom made these purses out of neckties. They are lined and have a zippered pocket inside. They are a nice size too. Not tiny, like I thought they would be. Of course, I couldn’t resist making buttons for them. I think I should have make the buttons in opaque colors so they would show up more. Oh well….

Stamp Art

My friend uses real canceled stamps that she adheres to glass bowls and coasters. She knows I like cats so she gave me this one:

The black kitty in the middle reminds me of my old cat, Rufus. I like all the baby kitty stamps around the bowl too.

Iggy’s New Blanket

Iggy for a goody bag from the adoption agency I got him from the other day. He got lots of toys, a litter scooper and a blue blanket. He just loves playing with his toys. After he was done he cuddled up in his new blanket. Isn’t he cute?

Pin Cushions

Aren’t these the cutest pin cushions ever? My mom made them out of flannel fabric. They are topped with a glass button that I made.

Rich Lost His Marble

Yep, I got one of Rich Shelby’s marbles. That would be richsantaclaus to all the LE’ers. He graciously sent this to me in exchange for some glass cigar tubes and glass rod shorts. I got the better deal.
