Here’s a pink kitty made up into a key chain. Looks like I’ll be making more of these in the near future. I didn’t know how they would work out since kitties have ears and they get in the way. If I put the ears in the right spot, I can get a tiny bead to fit between the ears.
Something Brand New!!
I needed a shawl pin for the shrug I previous knitted so I made this one yesterday. My friend gave me the etched copper and I cut out a simple shape. It didn’t look good. It was too flat and had no dimension. Another friend suggested making it wavy by putting wire under the piece, then pressing it in a pneumatic press. That did the trick!! I colored it some using just heat and sealed it with a polymer sealant. Of course, I can’t make anything without glass in it so I made the little heart topper.
Just A Few Beads
I haven’t posted for a while because I haven’t made anything of substance for a while. I did make a few beads this weekend so here they are:
I also made some heart toppers that I plan to use on shawl pin sticks. I plan to make the shawl pins out of etched copper and make a stick out of copper wire with the heart topper on the end of it.
Pink Key Finders
I went with pink last night and made all pink beads. These are a few I used for the key finder dangles.
Key Finders
Seems like I’m working on several things at one time. No wonder it doesn’t seem like I’m getting anything done. Here’s more key finders that I got assembled.
Happy Holidays!!
Hope everyone had a nice holiday. My sister visited and made some polymer clay pins. She was on a roll making the kimono pins. These are some of them.
The last two pins are ones I made trying to get my sister to make some different pins. She wasn’t that keen about the last pin with the stick pearl but when it came time for her to pick some to take home, she took it. Guess she liked it. I have of pieces that still need to be finished so I’ll still have some to sell at the fall craft shows.
I also made another key finder for my friend.
Once In A Blue Toad
Yes, another toad. This one is a very, very light milky blue with darker blue frit on it. I want to make them in different colors and I think I like the lighter colored toads the best.
Successful Craft Show
Last week I did my last craft show of the year. It went well. There were lots of customers and I sold a lot of my more inexpensive items, like the glass nail files and key finders. Customers that had bought one glass nail file at the previous show came back and bought several of them for gifts. Guess I’ll be making more next year.
My glass club is hosting a Beads Of Courage fundraiser next year in April. There will be a table for people to buy things. I want to make some affordable items and I’m thinking that the toad key chains will be a good seller. So, I’m back to making toads. Here are the first few:
I’ll be making them in all different colors so look for more in subsequent posts.
