Another Batch Of Gingko Leaves

Still not sure what I’m going to do with these. They are kind of fun to make.

On the two bottom ones, I used this Loetz gold powder and it’s supposed to make it have a metallic look. I got some metallic but when they are held up to the light, it just looks dirty. Probably won’t be using it again for these leaves.

Gingko Leaves

In glass, of course. My friend made some gingko leaf pendants out of polymer clay and wire. I thought they were cute and decided to try them out of glass.

Still need some work. I’m going to have to study some real leaves closer.

Flat Disk Beads Completed

Yep, I’ve been finishing up a lot of stuff this weekend to prepare for my first craft show. These are pictures of all the flat organic disk beads.

All laid out flat. I like all the different colors in them and the irregular shape. This is probably the closest I will come to making “organic” style beads.

Here they are stacked. I finally figured out how to get the little silver specks on the beads.

Another Fiber Enamel and Copper Bracelet

I made another similar to one I made before. This one has bigger beads and sari ribbon as the fiber.

Kokeshi Doll Bead Necklace

I made these beads up earlier this year. I’m finally getting around to making them into necklace. These I used brass components.

More Flat Disk Beads

I’m really liking making these. It’s an easy way to use up all those short rods of glass and any kind of frit.

They are so pretty laid out flat, though I’m not exactly sure how I’m going to use them yet.

Here’s another picture of the stacked.

Flat Disk Beads

I’ve been trying to get a more organic look to my beads. Here’s another attempt at it. I still can’t get “that” look that other people get without having my beads look hideous. These are randomly shaped with a bunch of different frits and colors. Two different views:

They range in size to about an 1/2 inch to one inch across.

Another Weekend Of Pins

But these are different. Well, different from the ones in the last post. These are a little more abstract.

I kind of like these. They aren’t too big and hang nicely when worn.

This next one is yet another pin but a bit different too. It doesn’t have any beads on it. Just all copper.

This one was tough. I used 14 gauge wire for the heart part and it was tough to bend. I think it might have had something to do with my wire already being work hardened too. Next time I’ll do it and anneal the wire first. That will make it easier to bend.

Geez, More Pins….

These are some that I used enamel pieces in.

I like the potato chip beads. I’m going to have to get more enameled.

A couple more. Not sure if I like the wire heart.

More Copper and Glass Fibula Pins

As you all know, I don’t just make one thing. So, here are more pins. I am working on other designs but these are fast and quick to make. The others take more time.
