I haven’t finished anything this weekend except some beads so here’s my meager offerings.
Some big hole beads that I still have to core with sterling silver.
Beads on skeleton keys. I like making these. I’m going to be making a bunch of these to sell next year.
I made these beads a while ago and finally got around to stringing them up. I wanted to make it longer but I ran out of sterling silver beads so it ended up being about 16 1/2 inches.
I finally got around to threading some components onto a chain. Because I like pink, I used the pink components on this one.
This is the fifth in my component series. It’s probably going to be my last too. I will be making more but as far as designs, I’m going to start with these and see how well they are received.
Two different views. The challenge on these were how to rivet the wire on the back without smashing the ball or breaking the bead. I did break a few beads before figuring out how to do it.
I’m back to making “components” and because I love glass so much, I thought some colorful glass rods would look great with silver end caps. I used borosilicate glass for these since they are a tad bit thicker than the glass rods I usually use.
These are about 2 inches long.
Yeah, I finished this sweater. It’s made out of recycled silk sari fabric that I got from Darn Good Yarn. Nicole, the president of the company designed the pattern.
Here’s the front. The bottom of the sweater is open and the sleeves are 3/4 length.
This is the back. The sweater is knitted from the bottom back up and over the shoulders to the front panels all in one piece. The slubs in the ribbon are part of the charm of the ribbon.
I’ve been working on my sweater so I haven’t had a lot of time to make anything. I only torched one evening this weekend. Here’s the outcome:
I did make another bead on a skeleton key but it was too hideous to show. I’ll crack the bead off and redo it. I like the way this one turned out. It’s opal yellow with enamels on top.
These are my third components in my modernistic talisman pendants. They will go with the resin and brass spike pieces.
My first idea was to use drilled rocks but they didn’t go with the modern theme. I think these will work out much better. I have another idea for another component but that’s going to have to wait until I finish knitting a sweater.

These will go with the three resin pieces I made before. I still have to make more components. I thought about doing something with drilled rocks but rocks aren’t modern and I didn’t like the look so I scraped that idea. I decided to use some disc beads instead for my next component in the pendant. Now I just have to make them….

So far I have 25 beads made and hope to get more done before the next BOC flame day where a bunch of us get together and make beads for the day.
