I made these beads a while ago and finally got around to stringing them up. I wanted to make it longer but I ran out of sterling silver beads so it ended up being about 16 1/2 inches.
Components Necklace
I finally got around to threading some components onto a chain. Because I like pink, I used the pink components on this one.
Another Component
This is the fifth in my component series. It’s probably going to be my last too. I will be making more but as far as designs, I’m going to start with these and see how well they are received.
Two different views. The challenge on these were how to rivet the wire on the back without smashing the ball or breaking the bead. I did break a few beads before figuring out how to do it.
Meager Offering This Week
I’ve been working on my sweater so I haven’t had a lot of time to make anything. I only torched one evening this weekend. Here’s the outcome:
I did make another bead on a skeleton key but it was too hideous to show. I’ll crack the bead off and redo it. I like the way this one turned out. It’s opal yellow with enamels on top.
Third Component – Beads On A Wire
These are my third components in my modernistic talisman pendants. They will go with the resin and brass spike pieces.
My first idea was to use drilled rocks but they didn’t go with the modern theme. I think these will work out much better. I have another idea for another component but that’s going to have to wait until I finish knitting a sweater.
Beads Of Courage Beads
Since I didn’t finish anything this week, all I had to take a picture of were the beads I made for the Beads Of Courage charity. More info on the charity can be found here: http://beadsofcourage.org
So far I have 25 beads made and hope to get more done before the next BOC flame day where a bunch of us get together and make beads for the day.
Just Beads
I haven’t finished anything this week because I started on a knitting project. A sweater. It takes me a while to knit a sweater. So, I only got these beads made for a new necklace:
Since these beads are so skinny, it’s going to take me about twice as many for a necklace. I’ve got a long way to go. Some of these will be discarded as the line around them might be crooked or too thick.
Last Bracelet Helper
This will the be last one for a while. I have enough made to sell at the fall craft shows.
I was trying to make them in different colors but didn’t succeed. Oh well, I hope the colors that I did use people will like.
Purple Bracelet Helper
This is the second to the last one. It’s a bit different. I had to use 6 beads instead of 5. Guess I made them more skinny but it all worked out.

After these, I only have two more to make. Yeah!! Not that I know what I’m going to be working on next but I have a little while to think about it. Here’s the two I just assembled:
I like the colors of these and the bottom one is the closest I get to “organic” beads. I just can’t seem to put glass on at random (except frit) and make it look good.
