Bobbin Beads
There was a tutorial posted on Lampwork Etc on making beads using sewing machine bobbins. I really liked the idea so I thought I’d try it myself. Here’s my first necklace which is similar to the ones that Mary Noelker makes. Mary sells her bobbin bead necklaces here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/marynoelker.

Can’t Stop Making Bracelets
I’m really liking copper more and more. I was going to add some glass bead to this bracelet but I thought it looked good just as is. It’s really light and can be worn with the previous bracelet. I think they would look great together.

Another Bracelet
As you all know by now, I never make just one thing at a time. So here’s another bracelet. This one is made out of copper and I used some different elements in it.
I thought about making this one more than one strand but I think it looks good just like it is.

Asian Necklace
This was my first attempt at making a pendant out of copper tubing. I used the wrong size tubing. This one is too thick so I couldn’t get the tabs push over all the way. I used one of the glass domes from the magnets I just made.

Melissa Manley Class
I took Melissa’s Porthole Charm class on Saturday. It was really fun. I’ll be making more in the future. Here’s my finished necklace:
It’s mostly copper and I used washi paper for the pictures in the charms. It didn’t work out that well. I need to seal the paper before putting the other side on. Lesson learned. I used some of my own glass beads and some I bought eons ago. The metal knots are coils of wire that are interlocked together. They are called Danish knots.

New Key With Bead
I bought a new lot of keys and they were really rusty and dirty. I ended up throwing them all into my tumbler and they came out all clean and shiny. I had to test one in the flame to see if it’s actually steel. I made a simple bead and the key held up so it’s definitely steel.

Slider Bead Necklace
I don’t know what to call this necklace yet. I got a new shaper tool and tried it out. I made the big disk with it. It’s not perfect but it was my first try. I made it into a necklace that I’m going to use in a bead exchange.

More Tube Beads
I’m getting better at making these. I still need some other elements to make them into a bracelet. Not sure what I’m going to do yet. I’m thinking about putting them on the chain that is in the picture. Maybe darken it a bit. Sorry, not much of it shows.
These really look better in person. I can’t figure out how to take a good picture of them.

A New Shape In Bottle Caps Beads
Well, it’s just one bead. I have these pre-cut flower disks that I just had to punch a hole in the middle. I only got one done as a test. The rest are the usual.
