I decided to make some shorter ornaments that can actually be used on trees. These are about 3 inches long.
The bigger beads are hollow to make the ornaments lighter.

I’m kind of liking the short ornaments better than the long ones. They are lighter and can be hung on a smaller tree. The branches don’t have to be like walking sticks to hold them up.
This one is about 5 inches long.
The bracelet helpers are just beadable things that I add the beads to. It has a screw on top. Not sure how well they will sell. Someone told me she was very successful selling them. I couldn’t figure out how to use it.
At least this one is more spring like that the Christmas ornaments….
I’m kind of lost as far as making things out of glass. I torched this weekend but didn’t have anything specific to work on. So, I tried a short ornament that would be able to be hung on a Christmas tree. The others are kind of long and probably a little too heavy.
This one ended up to be about 4 inches long.
I really like making beads on skeleton keys. It’s a little challenging as it takes longer for the key to warm up and there is always a chance that my glass rod that I hold the key with will break. I especially like the ones that I can make more than one bead on. This one had a long shank so I put on three beads, the middle one has silver foil in it.
It didn’t take me long before I wanted to make another ornament. This one turned out really bright and cheery. I did have more yellow in it and it was just too much so I made more blue beads and used the yellow for accents.
Another purple ornament. This one I did a few beads with dichroic glass in them. They are the sparkly ones.
This one is about 6 1/2 inches long.
Well, I went back to making ornaments. I should be working on some beads for a necklace but I wasn’t feeling like making small beads. So, back to the ornaments. This one is all different colors of blue.
It’s about 7 inches long.
Now that I have all the beads made for that necklace, I went back to making ornaments. Here’s a purple one.
This one is about 7 inches long.
These will the the last two ornaments for a while. I made these in Christmas colors.
I’m getting braver and trying more transparent colors. They are harder as the walls have to be even since they show. It’s also harder to clean out the bead release residue. I have to fill them up with water and blow the water out several times to get the pieces all out.
I thought I picked up red but this is clearly orange. It sure looks different when I’m wearing my torching glasses. I had the green bead as an orange one but it was orange overkill so I made the new green bead for this ornament. What’s going to happen is I’m going to end up with a bunch of different colored, leftover hollow beads and not know what to do with them.
This one is about 7 inches long.
Got another ornament done. This one is 7 inches long. The big light greenish bead is the biggest hollow bead I’ve ever made.
