New Keychains and Key Finders

I sold some key chains and key finders at the last craft show. Thought I’d make more up for the next one.

Key Finders – These hang off the side of a purse so the beads hang on the outside.

Regular key chains. I have to make more zombie girl beads.

New Colored Pencil On Metal Pendant

I wrote up the instructions on how I use colored pencils on metal so I thought I’d do some instructions on how to set the piece.

How it looks from the front.

Here it is from the side.

Goth Girl Bead

Just in time for Halloween. A little goth girl bead. I don’t know why I made it. I was working on beads for a necklace when I had the inkling to make a bead with a face. I can’t do anything that looks remotely like a real eye so this is what I came up with.

She’s got stringy hair. Probably needs washing….

Metal Hair Sticks

Some customers have asked for metal hair sticks. I totally forgot that I bought some this year. I found them when I was packing my stuff up for the craft show. I made the beads last night and assembled them this morning. They are really easy to put together.

These would also work out well for sweater or lacy scarf holders too.

Blue Kitty Colored Pencil On Metal Pendant

I really like this one. I might keep it for myself.

Something New

I got together with a bunch of friends for a play day. One gal is learning how to dye and felt scarves so she showed us how to make a felted scarf. It’s an interesting process. We all worked on it so it didn’t take nearly as long as when making one alone. I was the lucky one and got to keep it. Here’s a really crappy picture of it. I couldn’t get a better picture of the way the fibers are now felted together.

It’s really a lot more light and airy than it looks in the picture. I love the colors!!

Green Shard Colored Pencil Pendant

Yes, another colored pencil pendant. It’s a lot of fun making the colored pencil pieces. Then I have to do something with them. This one is similar to the last one with a ceramic shard bezel set in it.

I know it’s green. It wasn’t supposed to be green. But that’s what I had sitting in my colored pencil box and it was on top. And it goes well with yellow. The other side of the ceramic shard was pink and that’s why I bought it. I was surprised the other side was green and it worked out perfect for this pendant.

Square Chip Beads

I made some square chips for my mom to use in her Christmas trees. I liked them so much that I thought I’d make a necklace out of them. Here’s what I did last night:

I’m planning on using the spacer beads on the left between the square chips. I used filagrana rods to make the square chips. I think it gives the beads a more airy look. Now I need to make about double the number of square chips to make a whole necklace.

Early Christmas

My mom made these yo-yo Christmas trees. They are different sized yo-yos threaded onto a steel mandrel that I made a glass star on the top.

I think they turned out pretty cute considering I don’t usually like stuff made out of fabric yo-yos.

Not A Bracelet

This was going to be a bracelet. That was before I goofed up the placement of the end caps. Instead of tearing it apart, I changed it into a necklace.

I added another piece of  leather cording onto the other side, and viola, it’s a necklace. I did add the dangle after as it seemed kind of plain. I kind of like the mish mash of different beads. I might make another necklace all out of different beads. Great way to use up extras.
