I finally got a clear hollow made. I tried filling it with different medias but nothing was looking good. Finally settled on some gold glitter. Finished it with brass end caps. Put it on a copper bead stick that I made a while ago along with some beads.
This glitter is a bit chunkier than other glitters I’ve used. Kind of looks like tiny bits of real gold.

And one kitty bead. This kitty turned out kind of fat. Kind of reminds me of my cat, Igor. His fur is so fluffy around his face it looks like he has no neck.
And a hollow bead that I cored and strung it on leather.
I’ve been making some clear beads to try out this technique where the beads are colored after they are made. While making clear beads is kind of boring, I’m really liking them after they are colored and cored.
They sparkle and are really vibrant in person. Except for the green one. When using transparent colored glass the color has to be really pale in order for the color to show. It does sparkle but it’s more subtle than the rest of the beads.
Yep, got some more done.
Running out of ideas for character beads. Tried a horse. Came out of the kiln looking more like an alien than a horse.
I have to figure out a way to take pictures of these things. Hanging them isn’t working. They move around and the pictures turn out blurry. And after dropping them twice behind my desk I gave up on getting any good pictures.
I got an order for some mushroom charms….
I fumed the ivory stems to make them look more like mushrooms. Kind of gives it a in the dirt look.
Other more colorful mushrooms. These are fun to make.
I made some charms for e-cigarette device dangles. These are supposed to hang off a o-ring.
Okay, it’s three pairs. That’s all I got done today.
I used some glass beads that I made for these. It’s tough making two beads the same. Tried my best.
