Another Squiggle Wire Necklace

I decided to try another one using different colors for the glass balls. I made the balls bigger so they would show up more too.

CurvyWireNecklace-RandomColorsThese are so much fun to make. I love bending the wire into different shapes.

Squiggle Wire Necklace

This necklace was a test to see if I could make small glass balls on the end of wire. One end was balled up and then hammered flat and drilled to make a hole. The wires are linked together with a wire going through the holes, then the glass ball is added to the other side.

Enameled Piece Pendant

I wanted to try to set an enameled piece in a bezel setting so this piece was all an experiment.

BezelSetEnamelCirclePendant

Not crazy about this piece but I did achieve what I was trying to do and that was set the enameled circle in a bezel. That part went smoothly, no cracking the of any enamel. I added a few embellishments, like the brass rivets on the side and the little cab at the top. I was planning on using fibers for the dangle, hence the reason for the larger hole but I didn’t like the way it looked. The bead dangle is a tad better.

Kumihimo Bracelets

My sister was here for the holidays and she brought a kumihimo cording kit. I’ve wanted to make one but didn’t want to get into buying the supplies for another hobby so I’ve been putting it off. Here’s a few that she made. I added the end caps and clasps. These cords make up quickly so she made several in just a few days.

KumihimoBracelets

The one on the right is the fibers that came with her kit. The one on the left is from stuff I had already. I had some fringe-like yarn that made the little wisps of fiber stick out all over. I want to make a beaded cord someday.

Round Sterling Silver Charms

These are hollow too. I used sterling silver tubing for these so they are slightly easier to make than the other shaped ones.

Sterling Silver Hollow Charms

These are part of my Modern Talisman Component line which is different pieces that can be mixed and matched.

HollowCharms

These are tiny, like less than 1/2 inch at the largest point. Except the last one. Not sure what I’m going to use that one for yet.

Tab Bead Necklace and Bracelet

What I started doing was try to figure out how silver glass works but in my lame attempt, I started making these tab beads. They looked cute and not knowing what to do at the time, I just put them into a container. Then I found out I had a gift certificate from Rings and Things from 2011!! Yippee!! I was able to get some silver beads to space the tab beads out. I was able to make a necklace and bracelet.

TabBeadBracelet TabBeadNecklaceThe beads do turn so they aren’t all lined up when worn. I like them moving around. Makes it more interesting.
